In March 2020, JMSB went to Toronto to compete in the first ever NBAxTRSM Case Competition hosted by the NBA and Ted Rogers School of Management – Ryerson University. A total of 8 school participated in this invitation only event with JMSB being the only University outside of Ontario who received an invitation to the competition.

The Toronto Raptor’s recent Championship win and “We the North” brand campaign have ignited pride and passion for basketball in every corner of the country, the focus of the competition will be on the future of basketball marketing in Canada.

JMSB’s team name was Ibaka’s scarves, a nod to the infamous scarf-off between Raptors players Serge Ibaka and OG Anunoby. The judges appreciated our team’s creativity and positive attitude throughout the competition.
