Strategies in Action Try-outs are here!

 

The try-outs for the MBA Case Competition elective courses taught by Professor Tim Field will be held virtually on Saturday April 4th, 2019. 

Applicants will be contacted with more detail pertaining to the format of the tryout as we approach the date

There are two options, both for 3 credits each.

1)    MANA 695: Live Case Experience (Summer 1, 2020)

2-week intensive course (full day seminar) held: May 4, 6, 8, 11, 13 and 15.

Designed for students interested in the case competition approach to learning, this course follows the case competition teaching methodology and concludes with a live in-class case competition with a corporate sponsor. 

2)    MBA 659: Strategies in Action – Case Competition Course (Fall 2020)

13-week course held Thursday evenings. Students must be available for additional coaching sessions outside of class hours.

12 MBA students will be selected to participate in the 3 biggest MBA case competitions JMSB competes at (DeGroote MBA Case Competition, JMSB MBA International Case Competition and East Meets West MBA Leadership Case Competition). Case competitions are an integral part of the MBA experience and allow you to not only sharpen your problem-solving skills but also give you the opportunity to network with judges from different business fields.

Enrollment Process

Students interested in the above two courses should send their resume, a letter of intent (explaining their reason for taking the course) and a copy of their unofficial transcript to Professor Tim Field (timothy.field@concordia.ca) by Monday March 30th, 2019 at 11:59 p.m.
